Warwick Business School and the Department of Economics are pleased to invite you to the PhD Symposium in Industrial Economics and/or the Network of Industrial Economists Conference.

Submissions of abstracts are invited for the 2024 PhD Symposium in Industrial Economics, taking place on Thursday 27th June 2024 at the University of Warwick.

The Symposium brings together early-career economists to foster discussion and dissemination of research in all areas of industrial economics. A number of external academics will join our internal faculty members to act as discussants, providing high-quality feedback. Financial assistance for presenters will be available to contribute towards travel and accommodation (if required). The extended abstract submitted for the symposium can refer to a finished paper, a thesis chapter, or a working draft. If available, a paper draft will be required before the conference. Abstracts must be submitted by June 1st, 2024 (23:59, GMT).

The PhD Symposium is then followed by the Network of Industrial Economists (NIE) Conference, taking place on Friday 28th June 2024 at the University of Warwick. The NIE conference will consist of presentations by prominent industrial economists.

Participants can attend the Symposium and/or the Conference, but participants in the Symposium are encouraged to attend the Conference the following day.

Both events have NO registration fees but registration for the events will be required. Lunch and refreshments will be provided to all participants, for both events.
